Appreciation towards DL atelier for providing the following description:

这是一座在景德镇的艺术馆，设计大概做了1年，目前结构已经封顶，正在铺设管线准备开始内外装。

熟悉景德镇的都知道三宝村这个地方，风景不错，自古是加工瓷石的地方，基地就在村中的重要节点。近十年，这里变得越来越好玩，有些像北京当年的798，自发聚集了上百位陶瓷艺术家建立工作室，所以这里便成了有山有水有女实习生的地方。

Sanbaopeng Art Museum is located in Sanbao village of Jingdezhen, which is surrounded by green hills and might become another 798 Art District. Hundreds of porcelainartists are gathered here to build their own studios. They live in Sanbao and make great efforts torealize the dreamof art.

我在设计之初，就来过好几回，也看了不少这里的陶瓷作品，说实在的，作为产品有很棒的，但作为艺术品大都不灵。而真正让我感兴趣的是这里的人们，他们大都与陶瓷有关，甚至每年聚集来数万“景漂”。在这个有着世界上最好陶瓷匠人的地方，虽满怀“瓷心”，然几人成梦。

这里“艺术家”多，“艺术品”和“艺术”展厅就更多，所以从一开始，我的兴趣就不是做一个摆展品的空间，而是会关心瓷人以及他们的故事。

在跟他们的交往中，发现陶瓷创作最有魅力的地方是，瓷跟人之间的，像是少男少女之间，有点试探的那种不直接的沟通，这事尤其体现在经历窑火的“变身”过程中，它又有点像胶片摄影，观者把风景投影到胶片上靠的是想象，在充满期待的冲洗过程后，或惊喜或失望，也恰恰是这种慢慢等待后的不确定，才有了在按快门那一刻的尊重和敬意。摄影师跟照片，瓷人跟瓷也许是在谈恋爱吧。

After being in contact with these artists, I find that the most attractive point of porcelain design is that the relationship between porcelain and designers is just like the tender feeling between minor boys and girls, which is always indirect and bashful. It is also like the process of waiting for developing films. Full of hesitation and uncertainty ,perturbed the reserved, a small variable can change the direction of the outcome.The process is full of expectation, but also surprise and disappointment at the same time, which is like the relationship between ambiguous lovers. Artists and their works usuallykeep such a relationship.

我试着把这种体验带到这座艺术馆里，把他变成个大瓷窑，来这的人们化身为土，经历窑火，或成瓷成陶，或梦碎一地。

在“窑火中”体验的过程，使这里成为了一个看自己的地方，静处闲看。

我想那些真正的艺术家都是在试图“看自己“，只不过有的能看清，有的看不清，有的真实，有的虚伪。而看这些作品的我们，其实也是在看它背后那个人罢了。而这个艺术馆，我只是想提供一处无心无智无用的安静空间，在这里闲看闲坐，闲逛闲聊，空一空，倒一倒，看艺术品不重要，看自己比较重要。

I tried to bring this experience to visitors of the art museum. When walking through the huge porcelain kiln, visitors themselves are porcelain stones thatstart from the very beginning of firing process, they feel the flame and heat, and finally become artwork or nothing. The entire process is an opportunityof feeling, sounding outand communicating with their inner self.

而这种安静与激烈，持续的思考与及时的情绪，在这里并不矛盾，我自己就会常去这样的一个地方，北京法源寺。

具体的，艺术馆在山谷中顺势一字排开，他保证了展览空间所需要的长展示流线，并顺应狭长谷地的特点，朝纵深向发展的趋势也不会对闭窄的道路造成压力。150米延续不断从大地里生长出来的土墙，穿过一片树林，来到幽暗低沉的大屋檐下，溪水声渐渐入耳，隔绝了车水马龙，慢慢的身心或紧张或松弛，光渐亮水渐鸣，前方深远，有着些什么，但又听不清看不清，充满期待和想象。

There will be aquiet museum lying in the valley. The 150 meter long loam walls grow from earth. After walking through the woods, visitors will be attracted by the outstretched eaves. Clear sound of water makes people calm down, and the space ahead lead one into the cryptic but joyful world.

空间或上或下，水光或明或亮，人们或急或缓，随着思绪，选择不同的路径和体验，就像瓷人与瓷一样，这里的人们也与建筑发生着关于发现，憧憬，等待，焦虑，失望，惊喜等故事。

而所有这些连续的各式空间最终都统一在雄健的夯土墙中。当地土源非常好，是红泥土，传统建筑就经常以夯土作为墙体围护。而我们的土墙跟当地传统比较，在配比，施工方法，构造等方面都不太一样，为了验证效果和性能，我们在现场做了很多实验。最开始做了10堵实验土石配比及质感肌理的实验墙，在得到比较满意的效果后，又结合主体建筑的构造特点，把所有施工节点都做了真实的1:1样板，并把这些节点重新组织设计了一组景观小品。可以供游人观景小憩。

今年雨水特别多，施工难度很大，前不久又经历了建国以来第二大的洪水，房子健在，特此标记。初步预计今年十月完工，虽然大家已尽“洪荒之力”，但究竟会怎样，还得靠天靠地靠运气。

Multiple choices are provided in the museum, visitors can go up and down, feel the delight stream or peaceful pond, enjoy the exhibition or relax in the corner. The different choices bring rich experience, which is a enriched relationship between porcelain and designers. Every visithappens between human and architecture will become a story of discovery, expectation, waiting, anxiety, disappointment and joy.
