潮汐是沿海地区的一种自然现象，指海水在天体（主要是月球和太阳）引潮力作用下所产生的周期性运动，习惯上把海面垂直方向涨落称为潮汐，潮汐是当下中国的一种社会现象。通过人自身所处的地理空间在短时间内的剧烈变化，使人的生活与心理处于一种潮汐的状态。他的引力来自于中国城市与乡村能量的巨大失衡。这样的能量失衡，往往通过城市空间的潮汐现象表现出来。于是我们可以看到很多的词汇出现。“潮汐效应”是指工作时间人们在CBD区域大量聚集，下班后又向居民区大量迁徙的现象。而“潮汐车道”这样的交通措施也应运而生。城市空间渐渐被巨大的基础设施所取代。潮汐现象出现说明了城市空间利用率的不平衡。空间单一化的功能造成了社会价值的巨大消耗和浪费。

The tide is a natural phenomenon in the coastal area. the periodic movement of sea water by the tidal force, accustomed to the sea vertical direction fluctuation known as tide. tide is a kind of social phenomenon in contemporary China. Like the Spring Festival travel rush, which is a typical tidal phenomenon, people move because of a huge difference of opportunities between city and countryside. In the super city in china now, young people have to live very far from the Central working area, because the high price of housing make them to gather to the border of the city. They have to live a tidal live everyday between a long distance. The reason of tidal phenomenon in the city is the imballances of the utilization rate of space in city. The only function of a space become a waste of social value.

在这样的背景下，能否在一个空间内部实现多重的功能，增加一个潮汐般的时间线。将城市中的潮汐势能在单一空间中得到释放，增加空间的复合价值呢？功能能否被类型和形态组织模式所取代呢？在这样的思考体系中，一切坚固的东西烟消云散了。在atlier Bow-wow所著的《东京制造》一书中，各种城市功能的杂交体，自我生长出了特殊的形态。每一个杂交体都包含了几种不同的世界。白天的世界与黑夜的世界，醒着与睡着的世界，看到的与想到的世界。彼此交织。于是家的形态在瓦解，办公室的功能也在瓦解。城市中出现了潮汐空间。

In this particular social context, could we compress the city-scale tidal energy into a concrete space? Through the composite functions, we can make a time line in a space. In this way, the function is no longer exist, the typology and the system become the key words. The concepts of home, office and public space are collapse.

▼ 在一个空间内部实现多重的功能，multiple functions in one space

作为一个初创的设计工作室，工作室的功能性和可适应性非常重要。由于项目和人员的不断变化，所需要的空间可能每周都有所不同，同时，针对不同的项目，不同的团队架构会产生。固定的空间格局将不能适应快速变化和进化的工作体系和结构。除了工作室日常工作要求，休息，阅读，交流，会议，做模型实验，聚餐，电影，沙龙等辅助生活功能变得尤为重要。上午进行模型制作，中午围坐在一起吃个午餐，下午在会议室接待甲方，晚上大家一起开个设计沙龙，这些功能如果都需要一个单独的空间，势必会造成很大的空间浪费，因为我们很少同时进行这些活动。如果将这些功能空间作为独立的功能块，在整个空间中随机分布。随时调整位置和组合，就能充分的节约空间，使空间功能不成为一种负担。

As a new office, the system of team and project is unstable. We need to adjust the systems for every different project. At this point, the space of the office is always uncertain. Different frameworks are generating at every day. A normal space can not fulfill the demands of rapid change of the situation.

设计利用集装箱概念体系。“集装”箱是一个纯粹的空间概念体。集装箱通过合理的尺寸将货物进行最极致化的装载，使航运的效率最大化。“集装”箱办公空间同样利用了这个理念。将所需空间功能“集装”入一个标准20尺的海运集装箱。在不需要使用到这些功能时，四个部分及合成一个完整箱体，最大化集约剩余空间。需要使用功能时，通过底部滑轮随意组合空间形式，制造出千变万化的空间体验。为了方便在工作室内部施工箱体。箱体系统设计为全栓接结构体系。在工厂预制好建筑构件后，由工人分别搬运至三层工作室区域组装，避免了大型机械的吊装。整个组装过程用时3小时。可再次拆卸搬运去下一个工作空间，不产生建筑废料。集装箱赋予了工作室一种临时性的氛围，增强团队工作的专注度和工作室设计理念的凝结度。

As a design office, we need not only working space but also the assistant space like rest, reading, communication, meeting, modeling, eating, party etc. We have only 80 sqm space, how could we achieve these functions in one place? Tidal system make this happen.
