文明广告是一家创立仅两年半的年轻公司，在艾菲实效排名（Effie Effectiveness Index）最新发布的“2015最佳实效独立广告公司排行榜”上（2015 Most Effective Independent Agency ranking in Asia Pacific），上海文明广告荣获亚太区第五。
Civilization Ad is a young agency for just 2.5 years old. It ranks No. 5 on the list of “2015 Most Effective Independent Agency ranking in Asia Pacific” according to Effie Effectiveness Index.
业主名为“文明”，和客户沟通后，我们确立了以竹林做为此次设计的主题。
After discussion, we appointed “bamboo grove” as the theme of the design, inspired of “Civilization”.
项目基地有一个问题对我们产生了影响，办公室坐落于一栋改造后的老仓库的顶层空间，由两个单位组成，并且原业主在改造过程中给顶层增加了夹层空间，这样的改造使得两层楼面层高均有些紧张，并且两侧顶层分别为独立区域，只能通过底层联通，所以，我们将底层前台区域设置为整个空间的中转区域。
A limitation for us of the location was, it locates on the top roof of a remoulded old warehouse, the former owner added an inter floor for the both units. It made the space for both floors was insufficient and the 2 units could only be connected through the lower floor. That made us to use the lower floor as the hub of the whole office.
通过狭长的通道到达前台入口空间，我们搭建了一个如同林中小屋的使用空间，通过此空间将两侧的独立办公区连接起来。
A long and narrow path lead us to the reception, which looks like a hut in a forest and link the offices on both sides.
进入办公区域，中央的独立办公室采用了镜面不锈钢表皮，我们希望能将其消隐在整体空间中，以达到放大整体空间的效果。
The independent office in the middle of the working area are covered with mirror stainless steel surfaces. We hope the office merges in the working area by sight and makes the whole working area seems larger than it is.
借用原有楼梯框架，我们延伸了楼梯入口区域，并设置了一个可以放松洽谈及开放会议的独立区域。
We extended the entrance of the old stairs and set up a small area for leisure talk and meeting.
在早些年的中国，痰盂是一种文明的容器，但同时，与其相连的行为又是一种不文明的象征。所以我们使用这个元素，在另一侧夹层区域的新建楼梯处墙面，重塑了业主的名称“文明”。
In old China, spittoon is a symbol of civilization, but the action of using it doesn’t seem to connect with civilization. So we put this element in the rebuilt of a wall on the other side of the office, along the new built stairs, carrying the meaning of “Civilization”, which echoes the name of the Office.
在楼上办公区，我们调整了格栅的形式，使其感受更柔软且集聚，以达到阻隔视线的作用。
The grills on the upper floor have been reformed in a more soft and assembled style, to block the sights from each side.
另一侧楼上区域，我们借用天窗的存在引入了室内绿植，并以此围绕布置了休闲区、健身区及会议室，让各空间在使用时均可以感受自然的氛围。
The skylight on the other side helped us to set up the green plants surrounded by leisure area, gym, and meeting room. The users using these areas can feel the nature and get relax.
新的办公室希望为业主及客户提供更为放松及开放的工作环境，竹林可以使人放松，正君子之风；同时，也希望业主作为创意人可以冲破竹林的束缚，释放思想，解放心灵。
We hope the new office could provide an easier and opener area for the employee and clients. The bamboo has double meaning of peace and noble character in China. We also hope the creatives in this office could release their souls and free their hearts in the coming days.
