I have been fascinated by nature and it's natural fairy-tale quality since childhood. My work draws from the richness of nature's forms to create impossible worlds full of plant and animal hybrids, new species of insects and birds. I am inspired by my own dreams as well as surrealistic literature - fairy-tales from my childhood and fantasy books from writers such as Calvino, Lem, Borghes, Ballard. I love to travel and always choose wild places far away from civilization, where I can fully immerse myself in nature. The second lead in my travels is strange and fantastic places - victorian gardens with their glass houses, old palaces or abandoned amusement parks. I collect memories from my journies, experiences, moods and dreams, from which I construct the language of my illustrations. I love to bring a bit of fantasy and color into everyday life that is why I enjoy designing applied art.
